A Dataset of Equatorial Plasma Bubble Events and an All-Sky Airglow Image Observed in Southern China (2022-2024)

Abstract

This dataset contains three MAT-files: airglow_image_20240311.mat, EPB_events2022_2024.mat, and EPB_events2024.mat. 1. airglow_image_20240311.mat This 630 nm airglow image was acquired on the night of 11 March 2024 using an all-sky airglow imager (ASI) deployed at the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University (113.58°E, 22.35°N; dip latitude 13.19°N). 2. EPB_events2022_2024.mat EPB events detected by Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers at two stations: SYMM (22.12°N, 110.59°E) and SYZH (22.35°N, 113.58°E), covering the period from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2024 3. EPB_events2024 EPB events simultaneously observed by two pairs of GNSS receivers (SYRX-SYHP and SYMM-SYZH) in 2024.
