Abstract

High-Grade Serous Ovarian Carcinoma (HGSC) exhibits a unique metastatic pattern fundamentally differentfrom other solid tumors: rather than hematogenous dissemination to distant organs, HGSC primarily spreadsthrough transcoelomic seeding within the peritoneal cavity, with secondary colonization of lung, liver, andlymph nodes. The ER-like subset of HGSC displays distinct metabolic characteristics, including lipid/glutaminedependence and estrogen receptor expression, creating specialized adaptation requirements for each metastaticniche.
