FACTORES SOCIODEMOGRÁFICOS PREDICTORES DE ACTITUDES HACIA EL ABORTO INDUCIDO

Abstract

Cada año se provocan cerca de 73 millones de abortos en todo el mundo y el 61% de los embarazos no deseados se interrumpen voluntariamente. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar factores sociodemográficos predictores de actitudes hacia el aborto inducido en una muestra de una población adulta. Se llevó a cabo un estudio descriptivo transversal cuantitativo en Barquisimeto, estado Lara, Venezuela, entre junio del 2024 y agosto del 2025, donde se realizó una encuesta a 244 personas mayores de 18 años de edad que incluyó una escala de actitudes hacia el aborto inducido (EAHAI) y un conjunto de factores sociodemográficos. Se realizaron estadísticas descriptivas e inferenciales que incluyeron: Alfa de Cronbach, medida de Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin, esfericidad de Bartlett y regresión lineal multivariable. La EAHAI contó con fiabilidad aceptable y adecuación muestral. Los factores predictores de actitudes hacia el aborto inducido fueron en la subescala Pro-vida: edad (B: 0,297; p < 0,001) y religión (B: 2,335; p = 0,004); en la subescala Pro-elección: edad (B: -0,308; p < 0,001), nivel educativo (B: 0,877; p = 0,006) y religión (B: -1,465; p = 0,033); y en la subescala de Derechos reproductivos: edad (B: -0,137; p < 0,001), empleo (-0,924; p = 0,008), nivel educativo (B: 0,379; p = 0,0018) y sexo femenino (B: 0,733; p = 0,038). El estudio concluye que la edad, la religión, el empleo, el sexo femenino y el nivel educativo podrían ser factores predictores de actitudes hacia el aborto inducido.
