MODELO ETIOPATOGÉNICO INTEGRADOR DEL IMPACTO DE LAS REDES SOCIALES EN LA SALUD ADOLESCENTE

Abstract

Article type: Review article The way adolescents use social media is a complex phenomenon with a multifactorial and non-linear impact on their health. Recognizing the need for theoretical frameworks to explain this intricate relationship, this article presents an integrative etiopathogenic model that articulates the diverse interrelationships among biological, psychosocial, social, environmental, and individual factors. Through a qualitative and conceptual synthesis of scientific literature (2020-2025), this work makes a foundational theoretical contribution to the field, demonstrating how an intricate web of relationships defines adolescent vulnerability and resilience. The model serves as a tool for understanding the properties of the digital experience and its impact, providing a solid framework for designing prevention and intervention strategies aimed at this population group.
