O Homem dos Ratos

Abstract

O caso clínico “Homem dos Ratos”, acompanhado e publicado pelo psicanalista Sigmund Freud, apresenta a análise do paciente Ernst Lanzer, um jovem advogado vienense que manifestava sintomas obsessivos e compulsivos, revelando o papel de conflitos familiares, repressão sexual e experiências traumáticas na constituição do que Freud denominou como “neurose obsessiva”. Ocorrido entre 1907 e 1908, o caso consolidou conceitos fundamentais da psicanálise, como transferência, ambivalência afetiva, culpa e repressão. No entanto, também gerou críticas e polêmicas, tanto por possíveis omissões por parte de Freud, quanto por questões éticas relacionadas à quebra de sigilo. Apesar dessas controvérsias, o estudo mantém sua grande relevância histórica e cultural, servindo de inspiração para adaptações teatrais e cinematográficas que reforçam o seu impacto na psicanálise e no imaginário social.
