Abstract

SANSA Newsletter 56 deals with the following aspects of spider research in South Africa: spiders as part of the National Biodiversity Assessment 2025; spider open knowledge network; colour change in spiders; effect of alcohol on specimens; more information on Isoxya yates, Cyrtophora citricola, Thomisus australis and Thomisus stenningi; first records of Afroneutria erythrochelis, Neoscona kisangani and Viridasius from South Africa. Final survey results of spiders from Tswaing Meteorite Crater Reserve and Lowveld National Botanical Garden.
