Operational Cycle Budget Tracking for Lithium-Ion Battery Lifetime Dynamic Cost Principle (DCP) Analysis of 21700 Cell Degradation (2024–2025)

Abstract

This report applies the Dynamic Cost Principle (DCP-01:2025) to lithium-ion battery lifetime planning using publicly reported cycle-life and warranty thresholds for commercial 21700 cells. The work demonstrates how cumulative operational stress can be tracked against a finite lifetime budget to support predictive replacement planning, second-life assessment, and usage optimization. The report is domain-specific, application-focused, and validated against manufacturer specifications and recent (2024–2025) industry data.
