Abstract

For all files the height listed after the H is the initial mixed-layer height (h_{init}), within nc files thet prefix files represent potential temperature, and h prefix files represent mixed-layer height. The centH files contain the centerline data for near-surface potential temperature (first gridcell), and the mixed-layer height. This data used to determine the start of the quasi-steady state regime (tstart.csv) tStart.csv is organized such that each row is for a given h_{init}, and each column is for a given heat flux (H_0). (ie tStart[3,0] is for h_{init}=528m(32 m resolution) and H_0=9W/m^2). Note that tStart [4,:] is for the 16 m resolution run with h_{init}=528 m. The thetH files contain the y-averaged potential temperature and mixed-layer height from the start of the quasi-state regime to 8 hours later in the simulation. The g16 ending indicates a finer grid resolution of 16 m. The domSens and gridSens files contain the centerline and domain edge y-averaged potential temperature profiles. fig2Additional.nc contains the y-averaged potential temperature, along with u and w for the first 2 hours of the quasi-steady state regime, for h_{init}=528 m and H_0=225 W/m^2.
