Abstract

Tipo de artículo: Artículo de revisión Introducción: La gastrectomía requiere la coordinación de un equipo multidisciplinario, donde la enfermería es esencial al cuidar directamente al paciente en cada fase. Metodología: Se consultaron PubMed y la Biblioteca Cochrane, usando términos DeCS y MeSH para buscar estudios. Con criterios de inclusión y exclusión se seleccionaron 6 trabajos. Resultados: Complicaciones tempranas 5,74% y tardías 1,64%. Regurgitación grave 11,5% y acidez 6,4%. La mayoría se resolvió online; solo 5,6% fue a urgencias Discusión: La gastrectomía es segura, pero la enfermería es clave para prevenir complicaciones. Los enfermeros lideran la educación sanitaria y el cuidado, mientras se implementan métodos de seguimiento con programas tecnológicos. Conclusiones: Los profesionales de enfermería son los principales encargados en el cuidado de pacientes tras el procedimiento quirúrgico de gastrectomía.

Article type: Review article Introduction: Gastrectomy requires the coordination of a multidisciplinary team, in which nursing plays an essential role in directly caring for the patient at each stage. Methodology: PubMed and the Cochrane Library were consulted, using DeCS and MeSH terms to search for studies. Six studies were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: Early complications 5.74% and late complications 1.64%. Severe regurgitation 11.5% and heartburn 6.4%. Most were resolved online; only 5.6% went to the emergency room. Discussion: Gastrectomy is safe, but nursing is key to preventing complications. Nurses lead health education and care, while follow-up methods are implemented with technological programmes. Conclusions: Nursing professionals are primarily responsible for the care of patients after gastrectomy surgery.
