This paper presents the research results on a potential cultivar of Kitaibelia vitifolia Willd in the conditions of Donetsk Botanical Garden from 2020 to 2024. The species was found to be highly adaptable (with an introduction success score of 10) and drought- and winter-hardy. Its growing season lasts for 130-145 days. Its ornamental qualities are assessed. The prospects for using K. vitifolia for landscape design in steppe to create sustainable, low-maintenance plantings is demonstrated.
