The Attribution Crisis: A New Innovator's Dilemma in the Age of Orchestrated AI

Abstract

This work analyzes a structural failure emerging in the age of orchestrated artificial intelligence systems: the progressive collapse of attribution, authorship, and accountability. By examining cross-model interactions, distributed semantic fields, and live research dynamics, the paper identifies a new form of innovator’s dilemma affecting creators, researchers, and institutions operating under current regulatory frameworks. The analysis highlights systemic blind spots in governance, safety, and intellectual attribution, proposing the need for updated regulatory and institutional responses compatible with AI-native innovation environments.
