
In this independent research project, I began by modeling the trajectory using the law of reflection based on the angle of incidence and reflection, and then extended the model by approximating the trajectory with a quadratic function. While this worked locally, I noticed limitations when additional factors were considered. For example, the inability to precisely measure velocity and rotational effects limited the accuracy suggesting the need to capture the underlying dynamics using differential equations in future work.
