REABILITAÇÃO CARDIOVASCULAR NA INSUFICIÊNCIA CARDÍACA

Abstract

A insuficiência cardíaca (IC) é uma síndrome clínica complexa, caracterizada por sinais e sintomas que decorrem de uma disfunção estrutural ou funcional do coração. Essa anomalia compromete a capacidade ventricular de enchimento ou ejeção sanguínea, resultando em um bombeamento ineficiente ou mantido apenas à custa da elevação das pressões intracardíacas. O desenvolvimento e a progressão da IC são influenciados por diversos fatores de risco, entre os quais se destacam a hipertensão arterial sistêmica (HAS), a doença arterial coronariana, o diabetes mellitus (DM), a obesidade e a síndrome metabólica. Fatores adicionais, como o uso de substâncias cardiotóxicas (álcool e drogas ilícitas), a predisposição genética e as valvopatias, tambémdesempenham um papel significativo. No cenário epidemiológico brasileiro, a prevalência de IC é estimada em 1,1% napopulação adulta e alcança 3,3% em indivíduos com idade superior a 60 anos. Embora estudos da Sociedade Brasileira de Cardiologia (SBC) apontem para uma tendência de redução nas taxas de internação por IC, observa-se um aumento preocupante na mortalidade intra hospitalar. Diante desse panorama, a reabilitação cardiovascular (RCV) consolida-se como umcomponente fundamental no manejo da IC. Em reconhecimento à sua importância, a Associação Brasileira de Fisioterapia Cardiorrespiratória e Fisioterapia em Terapia Intensiva (ASSOBRAFIR) publicou uma nova diretriz sobre o tema.
