This document provides a detailed account of the researcher-centred data collection activities carried out within the project Towards a Qualitative Paradigm: Rethinking Research and Researchers Assessment at Blanquerna, Universitat Ramon Llull (ReAss), focusing on the survey and focus groups conducted with the researcher community. The Questionnaire of the University Research Assessment System FPCEE-Blanquerna was developed as part of a broader survey conducted among the research staff. Its purpose was to identify researchers’ perceptions of the current research evaluation system and to examine how these perceptions vary across different professional trajectories. Results offer meaningful qualitative and quantitative insights into how the system is experienced by researchers at different career stages for grounding the new research assessment proposal. Focus groups were part of the data collection. We organised 10 focus groups, including researchers at different career stages, to explore in depth their views on current assessment practices and identify the most urgent challenges to be addressed.
