Pupillometry and Brain-wide c-Fos Mapping Uncover Multimodal Mirror Emotional Contagion Related Networks of Mice

Abstract

Pupillometry and Brain-wide c-Fos Mapping Uncover Multimodal Mirror Emotional Contagion Related Networks of Mice This repository contains the dataset and analysis code required to reproduce the statistics and figures presented in the paper “Pupillometry and Brain-wide c-Fos Mapping Uncover Multimodal Mirror Emotional Contagion Related Networks of Mice.” Repository Structure 1. Pupillometry and Running Behavior Data The repository includes pupil diameter and locomotor velocity measurements collected during emotional contagion experiments under different sensory conditions: Aversive condition aversive_pupil_zscore.csv aversive_vel_zscore.csv Multisensory emotional contagion eco_pupil_zscore.csv eco_vel_zscore.csv Screen-based presentation eco_screen_pupil_zscore.csv eco_screen_vel_zscore.csv Video response data video_response.csv These datasets form the basis for the behavioral and physiological analyses presented in the manuscript. 2. Brain-wide c-Fos Light-Sheet Data Brain-wide neuronal activation data obtained via light-sheet microscopy and automated quantification are provided as: Regional density measures demonstrator_density.csv observer_density.csv noshock_density.csv Region-level summary tables areas_demonstrator_density.xlsx areas_observer_density.xlsx Fold-change analyses fold_change_demonstrator.csv fold_change_observer.csv Statistical outputs pvalues.csv pvalues_nonparamtest_density_198Areas_Fixed_20241021.csv Anatomical reference structures.json These files allow reconstruction of the brain-wide activation maps and statistical comparisons reported in the study. 3. Network and Correlation Analyses To reproduce the functional network analyses, the repository includes: Correlation matrices corr_matrix_demonstrator_density.csv corr_matrix_observer_density.csv corr_matrix_noshock_density.csv Dyadic and shared activation analyses Dyads_shared_results_pval.csv Hit summaries and volcano plots hits_data.csv volcano_plt.png Network visualizations Fig_5_network.png Fig_5_network_dem.png Fig_5_network_obs.png Fig_5_network_pruned.png These datasets enable replication of the brain-wide correlation and network topology analyses described in the manuscript. 4. Figure Code All figures in the manuscript can be reproduced using the provided Jupyter notebooks: Fig_1_code_stats.ipynb Fig_2_code_stats.ipynb Fig_3_code_stats.ipynb Fig_4_code_stats.ipynb Fig_5_code_stats.ipynb Fig_6_code_stats.ipynb Supplementary figure notebooks: Fig_S1_code_stats.ipynb figure_Supplementary_2.ipynb Supporting analysis scripts: stats_lib.py psychometric.py aba.py Pre-generated figure outputs (.png) are also included for reference.
