Abstract

Genus Oblongitubus Kang & Zhang gen. nov. Type species. Oblongitubus linearis Kang & Zhang sp. nov. Description. Head slightly wider than pronotum; crown with anterior margin bluntly rounded; median length less than interocular width; coronal suture distinct. Pronotum with anterior margin curved, parallel to posterior margin; median length of pronotum slightly longer than crown median length; scutoscutellar sulcus slightly curved. Forewing with appendix not extending around wing apex, 1st apical cell broad, parallel-sided; 2nd apical cell rectangular, parallel-sided; 3rd apical cell thin; 4th apical cell triangular. Hind wing with submarginal vein evanescent apically, vein RP very short, 1st apical cell partially open. Abdominal apodeme weak. Male genital capsule cylindrical. Pygofer side with setae and microsetae. Subgenital plate not exceeding posterior margin of pygofer, with row of macrosetae medially. Paramere elongate. Aedeagus long; shaft long tubular; gonopore apical. Distribution. Palearctic and Oriental Regions. Etymology. The generic name comes from the combination of Latin words “oblongus (gracile)” and “tubus (tube)”, referring to the gracile tubular aedeagal shaft. Gender. Masculine. Note. This genus is similar to Asialebra Dworakowska, 1971 in the shape of the pygofer, but can be distinguished by the hind wing with submarginal vein evanescent apically with 1st apical cell partially open.
