The transport of goods plays a crucial role in the economy of any region, and Mwene Ditu is no exception. In this context, freight forwarders, key players in the logistics chain, face specific legal challenges related to the Uniform Act governing transport contracts. This act establishes a legal framework that aims to harmonize contractual relations in the sector by clearly defining the rights and obligations of the parties involved. However, the reality on the ground often reveals a gap between theoretical legal provisions and their practical application. Freight forwarders, who are often poorly informed about their rights and the protections offered by the legislation, find themselves in a vulnerable position. This study aims to explore these challenges in depth, analyzing how the current legal regime impacts their operations and proposing solutions for improved compliance and protection. Using a qualitative methodology, this article examines the perceptions and experiences of freight forwarders in Mwene Ditu, highlighting gaps in legal training and obstacles to the effective implementation of the Uniform Act. This research aims not only to improve understanding of the legal issues facing freight forwarders, but also to contribute to more appropriate and protective regulations in the field of freight transport.
