This is the October 2007 issue of the International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) newsletter. It highlights global efforts to promote active learning in physics through workshops and networks such as ASPEN and LAPEN, and announces the launch of PHYSWARE workshops for low-cost instructional tools.
