International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) Newsletter, Issue 65

Abstract

This is the April 2017 issue of the International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) newsletter. It introduces Professor Manjula Sharma as the new editor and Gabriel Ha Nguyen as assistant editor, outlining plans for a more compact, informative format. The issue features articles on regional centers for physics teacher training in the Czech Republic and a teacher development project in South Africa, as well as a report on the Second World Conference on Physics Education held in Brazil. It announces the upcoming GIREP-ICPE-EPEC 2017 conference in Dublin and celebrates Professor Kaihua Zhao, recipient of the 2015 ICPE Medal, for his lifelong contributions to physics education.
