Abstract

This is the May 2025 issue of the International Commission on Physics Education (ICPE) newsletter. It introduces the new C14 commissioners for the 2025–2027 term, with detailed profiles highlighting their contributions to physics education worldwide. Key updates include Professor Manjula Sharma’s recognition as an AAPT Fellow and articles on empowering Africa through physics education (ASP2024) and celebrating the centenary of Nobel Laureate P.W. Anderson. The newsletter also provides information on ICPE Medal nominations and lists upcoming conferences such as GIREP-EPEC 2025 in Leiden, ICPE-XVI in Chile, and the International Conference on Physics Education in India.
