SketchLay: User-Guided Force-Directed Graph Layout through Freehand Sketching - Quantitative Testing Dataset & Results

Abstract

This folder contains the dataset and test results used to evaluate the performance of the "SketchLay: User-Guided Force-Directed Graph Layout through Freehand Sketching" algorithm available at https://github.com/sciluna/sketchlay. \graphs folder contains 160 randomly selected graphs from Rome graph dataset. \sketches folder includes 80 sketches (20 random sketches and their rotated versions in 30°, 45° and 60°) used to layout the graphs in the \graphs folder. Each sketch is randomly paired with two graphs in the \graphs folder. graph-sketch.txt file contains graph-sketch pairs. \results folder contains following: \json folder contains graphs of resulting layouts for fCoSE and CoLa in Cytoscape.js JSON format. \png folder contains images of resulting layouts for fCoSE and CoLa in png format. runtime_results.xlsx file contains runtime measurements. soft_constraint_results.xlsx file contains soft constraint measurements. alignment_results.xlsx file contains alignment measurements. \scripts folder contains the scripts to calculate runtime, soft constraints and alignment results.
