
These files are part of the dataset presented in the research article "Temporal trends and spatial variations of total mercury in sediments of the legacy-contaminated river Elbe (Germany)" (10.1007/s10661-025-14881-y). They include analytical results of sediments from the Elbe River. Table 1 contains analytical data from five long-term monitoring stations presented in the manuscript. Table 2 contains data on sediments, soils and suspended particulate matter sampled within the longitudinal course of the non-tidal part of the Elbe River.
