Abstract

Wiedemannia tiburica Wagner & Cobo, 2001 Wiedemannia (Philolutra) tiburica Wagner & Cobo, 2001: 32. Material examined. Portugal: 1 ♂ (slide mounted), 06.VI.2016, Bragança, Vinhais, Tuizelo (Parque Natural de Montesinho), 41°54'20.3"N, 7°01'47.4"W; 1 ♂, 16.VII.2023, Viana do Castelo, Melgaço, Castro Laboreiro e Lamas de Mouro (Parque Nacional da Peneda-Gerês), 41°59'39.4"N, 8°10'03.7"W; all leg. RA. France: 1 ♂ (slide mounted) in coll. Vaillant; labels on slide: 1. Wiedemannia (Chamaedipsia) serranetica VAILLANT, ♂, HOLOTYPE [handwritten in ink], 2. GBIFCH 00603110 [printed], 3. La Serranet, Haute Pyrénées, 690 m, 25.VII.1974, coll. A. Thomas, [on rear side a white label, handwritten] Wiedemannia tiburica Wagner & Cobo 2001, det. RW 2024. Remarks. Wiedemannia tiburica is a close relative of W. vedranae Ivković & Sinclair 2014; the fore lobe of the clasping cercus is more prominent in W. tiburica than in W. vedranae. The median swelling of the distiphallus of W. vedranae maybe eversible, it was not mentioned in the original description of W. tiburica. A name was given to the specimen from France by Vaillant but a description was never published. New for Portugal and France.
