
This manifesto introduces Reality-Aligned Intelligence (RAI) and Digital DNA (DDNA) as a new architectural pattern for human–AI interaction: instead of renting memory, context and continuity from AI platforms, users own them outright in a local, portable “digital nervous system” that any AI can plug into. Using the metaphor of “the universal remote”, the text argues that most people experience AI today as if there were only one channel—whichever large platform they started with (for many, ChatGPT). Their conversations, preferences and project history are locked to that single provider, and continuity becomes a subscription product. The manifesto reframes this: the screen (device) has always belonged to the user, multiple AI “channels” already exist, and what was missing was a user-controlled interface layer. DDNA is proposed as that layer: a simple three-tier file structure (Tier I: core profile and boundaries; Tier II: domain-specific modules; Tier III: conversation, decisions and pattern logs) stored under the user’s control, not on vendor servers. Memory is just files, not a paid feature. Any AI system can be pointed at this structure for context, while a set of RAI principles—especially the Ontological Integrity Line (OIL)—enforces honesty about what AI is (a tool, not a person) and what roles it must never play (friend, therapist, spiritual guide). The manifesto also outlines emerging “organs” that DDNA can provide to AI tools—such as time sense, commitment tracking, drift detection and rhythm/energy awareness—without crossing the personhood line. By externalising memory, safety and continuity “above the OIL”, with the human instead of the platform, RAI/DDNA aims to (1) end platform lock-in, (2) reduce relational and anthropomorphic harms, and (3) enable richer, reality-aligned capabilities across any AI system. This document is intended as an accessible declaration for practitioners, researchers, educators, policymakers and ordinary users who feel the limitations of current AI subscription models and are looking for a sovereignty-first alternative. It is explicitly released as open infrastructure: a conceptual and practical “remote control” that anyone can adopt, adapt and extend.
