
Violence against paramedics has been described inresearch as a ‘serious public health problem’, but one thatremains ‘vastly underreported’, owing to an organizationalculture where violence is often considered ‘part of the job’.Leveraging a novel reporting process developed in PeelRegion, Ontario, our objective was to generate anepidemiological profile of violence against paramedics asan occupational health issue.
