Aprendizaje intercultural para niños de preescolar y primaria: una mirada a las limitaciones prácticas en Latinoamérica

Abstract

La educación inicial y primaria requiere contar con herramientas pedagógicas bien específicas que le permitan promover un real aprendizaje intercultural. Entre estas herramientas se encuentran todos los recursos o materiales didácticos, los cuales son fundamentales para la enseñanza de niños de diferentes culturas y antecedentes étnicos. En este estudio se plantea analizar el estado actual de la educación intercultural para niños de preescolar y primaria en Latinoamérica. Para abordar dicho análisis se realizó una investigación con enfoque cualitativo y el método usado fue una exploración documental. Los resultados evidencian que, aunque existen ciertas estrategias de inclusión por parte de los formuladores de políticas educativas al diseñar materiales didácticos interculturales, estas no son suficientes para garantizar el bienestar y la continuidad cultural de las comunidades originarias. Al no existir inclusión se manifiesta el no reconocimiento de la identidad, el conocimiento, la cultura y la vida de los niños pertenecientes a pueblos indígenas.
