Abstract

A saúde é um componente indispensável para o exercício da atividade policial militar, influenciando diretamente a capacidade operacional, a redução de afastamentos e a resistência ao estresse. Sua importância se estende à preparação e ao desempenho profissional, impacta também aspectos logísticos, financeiros e, sobretudo, o bem-estar e a motivação dos policiais. Reconhecendo essa relevância, apresentamos uma seleção de trabalhos científicos, em grande parte de autoria de policiais militares, em especial do Quadro de Saúde da Polícia Militar do Pará. Nesta edição temática, sete artigos foram selecionados para compor um panorama sobre a saúde na Polícia Militar do Pará, abordando tanto as práticas cotidianas e os desafios enfrentados pela Corporação quanto as estratégias necessárias para promover a resiliência e a qualidade de vida dos policiais e de seus familiares.
