Rompiendo el ciclo de la desigualdad en América Latina: ética pública e instituciones sólidas.

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar las desigualdades en América Latina como un fenómeno sistémico desde una perspectiva multidimensional y ética. Se sostiene que la desigualdad no se limita únicamente a la distribución del ingreso, sino que permea dimensiones intergeneracionales, de género, territoriales y educativas, con lo que se perpetúan exclusiones que restringen las oportunidades de desarrollo y reducen el bienestar social compartido. Desde un enfoque teórico-documental, se examinan las causas económicas y no económicas de las desigualdades, así como sus efectos en cuanto al desarrollo humano. Asimismo, se analiza el papel que puede jugar la ética pública y la consolidación de instituciones sólidas en la mitigación de la desigualdad. En este documento se emplearon informes de organismos internacionales, teniendo en consideración los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible (ODS) de la Agenda 2030. Se concluye que, al margen de las políticas económicas, un gobierno basado en rendición de cuentas, integridad y participación ciudadana activa es un requisito indispensable para lograr sociedades con una mayor justicia.
