
The main objective of this article is to discuss democratic and participatory management in schools, highlighting some important issues and concepts associated with the subject, such as educational results, external evaluations and the importance of horizontalizing school management. In order to achieve this objective, a theoretical review is presented, using bibliographical references on the subject, made up of authors who adhere to the proposed reflection. The result of this study is expected to be a contribution to the debate on democratic management and its correlation with the different types and models of management, their nuances, theoretical aspects, challenges and different realities of analysis that can be assessed theoretically, methodologically and empirically.
