Increasing interest in, and deployment of, AI technologies has been accompanied by significant regulatory and research efforts focused on defining responsible use of AI. This document provides a summary of Responsible AI (RAI) principles and their application to Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (the GLAM sector). The purpose of providing this summary is to enable GLAM sector organisations to review and reflect on existing RAI principles and adapt them to their local context, mission, and needs. Principles such as Indigenous self-determination and data rights, and justice and fairness, will depend on local expertise.
