Manejo farmacológico da dor pós-operatória em cirurgia oral: uma revisão da literatura.

Abstract

A dor pós-operatória em cirurgias orais resulta da ativação de processos inflamatórios complexos e representa um dos principais desafios terapêuticos na prática odontológica. A literatura recente destaca a superioridade analgésica dos anti-inflamatórios não esteroides (AINEs), isolados ou combinados com paracetamol, em comparação aos opioides, além da eficácia comprovada da dexametasona como adjuvante anti-inflamatório pré-operatório. Esta revisão analisou estudos clínicos, revisões sistemáticas e meta-análises publicadas entre 2013 e 2024, identificando protocolos farmacológicos baseados em evidências. Os resultados confirmam que a analgesia multimodal constitui a abordagem mais eficaz, reduzindo morbidade, dependência de opioides e eventos adversos. Conclui-se que o manejo da dor em odontologia cirúrgica deve priorizar AINEs, terapias combinadas e corticosteroides em dose única, reservando os opioides apenas para casos excepcionais.
