Perspectives franco-allemandes

Authors: Bosler, Sabine;

Perspectives franco-allemandes

Abstract

In this contribution, we study the connections between information literacy, media education and digital competence. First, we retrace the past and current definitions of information literacy and the democratic and ethical issues that it faces in the digital context, before comparing digital competences frameworks. What role does information literacy play in them? Knowing that information literacy is a school issue, we ask: how is it defined and transmitted in the school context? A cross analysis of media and information education programs and booklets addressed to teachers allows us to show that the notion has come to define, more and more, the evaluation of information.
