Abstract

Distance learning has been propelled to the heart of teaching practices over the past year. However, at the time of the assessments for the 2020-2021 school year, many criticisms of distance learning report the lack of familiarity with the learning environments as the main problem teachers and learners alike encountered. Therefore, this chapter proposes to look at the introduction of virtual reality (VR) as an assessment tool in distance learning from a theoretical and generalizing perspective. Indeed, the environmental possibilities of VR in order to adapt the evaluation processes to new realities and technological possibilities present themselves as a pedagogical innovation in connection with the integration and development of the digital competency.
