
This article explores the integration of sports terminology into the process of teaching English to students ofphysical education and sports universities. The relevance of the study is determined by the growing need for professionalcommunication skills in the field of sports and the role of English as a global language of international cooperation. Thepaper analyzes linguistic and methodological approaches to teaching sports vocabulary, discusses strategies for effectivelyincorporating sports terms into classroom practice, and suggests innovative techniques for improving students’ professionalcompetence. The results highlight that integrating sports terminology enhances learners’ motivation, enrichestheir linguistic competence, and bridges the gap between language learning and their future professional activities
