This report presents findings from a transdisciplinary forum held on 24 April 2025 at the University of Leeds National Pig Centre, bringing together over pig sector stakeholders to address ongoing antimicrobial stewardship challenges. Despite significant progress in reducing antibiotic use, participants identified key barriers including aging infrastructure, limited diagnostic capabilities, workforce shortages, and economic constraints, while emphasizing the need for a balanced "as little as possible, as much as necessary" approach. The forum generated recommendations for targeted support of persistently high-use farms, enhanced diagnostics, improved biosecurity, infrastructure investment, and workforce development to advance responsible antimicrobial use while maintaining animal welfare in UK pig production.
