
Ushbu maqolada ingliz va o‘zbek tillaridagi kiyim komponentli frazeologik birliklarning qiyosiy tahlili yoritiladi. Tadqiqot tarkibida coat, hat, sleeve, shoe kabi kiyim nomlari ishtirok etgan idiomalar va barqaror birikmalarning semantik, struktural va madaniy xususiyatlari o‘rganiladi. Ikkala tildagi o‘xshash va farqli jihatlarni tahlil qilish orqali madaniy qadriyatlar, turmush tarzi hamda milliy mentalitet frazeologik birliklarning shakllanishi va ma’nosiga qanday ta’sir ko‘rsatishi ochib beriladi. Ishda umumiy tushunchalarni ifodalovchi idiomalar bilan bir qatorda faqat ma’lum bir tilga xos bo‘lgan metaforik kengayishlar ham tahlil qilingan. Tadqiqot natijalari ingliz va o‘zbek tillarida kiyimga oid ko‘plab idiomalar bir xil g‘oyani turlicha obrazlar orqali ifoda qilishini, ayrimlari esa o‘ziga xos madaniy ramziylikka ega bo‘lib, so‘zma-so‘z tarjima qilib bo‘lmasligini ko‘rsatadi. Frazeologik birliklarning bunday xususiyatlarini o‘rganish samarali tarjima, til o‘qitish va madaniyatlararo muloqot uchun muhimdir.
