
Ushbu maqolada PIRLS (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study) xalqaro baholash dasturining mazmuni, maqsadi hamda asosiy vazifalari yoritilgan. Tadqiqotning bosh maqsadi — boshlang‘ich sinf o‘quvchilarining o‘qish savodxonligi darajasini aniqlash, matnni tushunish, tahlil qilish va baholash qobiliyatlarini xalqaro miqyosda solishtirishdan iborat. Maqolada PIRLS dasturining ta’lim sifatini oshirishdagi o‘rni, o‘qituvchilarning metodik tayyorgarligiga ta’siri hamda o‘quvchilarning o‘qishga bo‘lgan qiziqishini rivojlantirishdagi ahamiyati tahlil qilingan.
