This APK file provides access to the Virtual Reality Learning Environment (ViLE) developed as part of the WATERLINE project’s digital education infrastructure. Specifically, it simulates a pipe failure scenario that an engineer in a control room is asked to close the valve in the engine room quickly. The application is designed to educate the learner, in an immersive gaming environmnet, about the consequence of water hammer in a pipeline under an extreme scenario. This will lead to another application (10.5281/zenodo.17635352) that allows leaners to get more insight of the factors affecting the magnitude of water hammer. This resource is part of the broader initiative to enhance digital water education across European Higher Education Institutions. The desciption of the application is available in Water Hammer VR: Immersive Learning Environment for Hydraulic Transient Analysis in Water Distribution Systems.
