APLICAÇÃO DE INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL NO DIAGNÓSTICO E MONITORAMENTO DA EPILEPSIA

Abstract

A epilepsia é uma condição neurológica que afeta milhões de pessoas pelo mundo. Odiagnóstico e o tratamento da doença dependem da interpretação de sinais cerebrais, como osregistros por eletroencefalograma (EEG). Logo, técnicas de Inteligência Artificial (IA), emalguns casos, estão sendo utilizadas para análise clínica da doença. Estudos recentes afirmamque o uso da IA identifica padrões e proporciona um diagnóstico mais preciso. Entretanto,ainda há desafios, como, a necessidade de padronização e a validação clínica mais ampla.Mas, apesar disso, a IA se mostra uma ferramenta promissora que pode auxiliar profissionaisda saúde em dados biomédicos, previsão de eventos neurológicos e suporte ao diagnóstico.
