
Music Videos: The Creative and Commercial Role of Audiovisual Media within the Music Industry DescriptionThis research aims to understand the role that the music video currently plays in the music industry, both in its commercial dimension and function as a marketing tool for the industry, and in its creative dimension and function as an artistic tool that can be explored by musical artists. Based on this, the study seeks to identify a balanced applicability of both functions developed by this audiovisual genre.
A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender o papel que o videoclipe desempenha atualmente na indústria musical, tanto em seu caráter mercadológico e de ferramenta comercial da indústria, quanto em seu caráter criativo e de ferramenta artística, que pode ser explorada por artistas musicais. A partir disso, busca-se encontrar uma aplicabilidade equilibrada de ambas as funções desenvolvidas pelo gênero audiovisual em questão.
