Análisis de la reconfiguración geopolítica: el Sur Global ante la competencia de grandes potencias y el nuevo orden mundial

Abstract

Este documento presenta un análisis de la intrincada relación entre la geopolítica, la gobernanza económica global y el rol emergente del Sur Global en un orden mundial en transición. A través de una síntesis de una vasta literatura académica reciente, se examina cómo la intensificación de la competencia entre grandes potencias, principalmente Estados Unidos y China, está reconfigurando las dinámicas del comercio, la inversión, las finanzas, la tecnología y el acceso a recursos críticos. Este artículo argumenta que la "geopolítica" ha evolucionado hacia un marco de "geoeconomía multipolar", un enfoque multidimensional que abarca la geoestrategia financiera y la gobernanza de datos como instrumentos de poder. En este contexto, los países del Sur Global no son actores pasivos, sino agentes estratégicos que emplean doctrinas como el "no alineamiento activo" para navegar las tensiones y maximizar su autonomía. Se exploran las arenas clave de esta competición —recursos energéticos, minerales críticos, infraestructura global, cadenas de valor y finanzas internacionales—, destacando los efectos estadísticamente significativos que los riesgos geopolíticos tienen sobre la inversión corporativa, los precios de las acciones y las redes comerciales de energía. Finalmente, a través de un análisis meta-metodológico inspirado en el marco ROBINS-I, se evalúa el rigor de la evidencia cuantitativa, concluyendo que la era actual no es simplemente una de desorden, sino de una compleja y disputada reordenación del poder global.
