Neurologists often struggle to determine whether enuresis in a particular case is a neurological pathology or falls under the expertise of other specialists, such as urologists, gynecologists, or andrologists. Due to diagnostic difficulties, treatment effectiveness may be compromised, and patients may sometimes receive treatment from inappropriate specialists. Our objective was to establish diagnostic criteria for nocturnal enuresis, identify its types, and develop a classification.
