Abstract

El presente libro pone en evidencia el poder que la gestión cultural tiene en América Latina para el impulso de transformaciones sociales. Las experiencias y trabajos que se encontrarán en estas páginas permiten reconocer los esfuerzos reflexivos de gestores culturales que asumen su compromiso de transformar las realidades sociales latinoamericanas marcadas por la exclusión y la injusticia. En este sentido, es claro que la acción cultural va más allá del ámbito artístico, nos abre las puertas para generar redes colaborativas, para visibilizar minorías y para ampliar las posibilidades de divulgación, cooperación y conservación del patrimonio que las tecnologías digitales nos ofrecen. Así, la gestión cultural no sólo genera conocimiento y experiencias de los profesionales y académicos, también involucra a las comunidades para generar una participación más horizontal y plural.
