DOENÇAS CARDIOVASCULARES EM DIABÉTICOS TIPO 2: ESTRATÉGIAS DE MANEJO, PREVENÇÃO E IMPACTOS TERAPÊUTICOS

Abstract

O Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 (DM2) é uma das doenças crônicas mais prevalentes e está fortemente associado ao risco de doenças cardiovasculares (DCV), como infarto, AVC e insuficiência cardíaca. Essa relação envolve mecanismos como resistência à insulina, dislipidemia aterogênica, inflamação crônica e disfunção endotelial. Este estudo visa analisar as interações entre DM2 e DCV, com ênfase em fatores de risco, prevenção e tratamentos atuais. A revisão de literatura mostra que intervenções combinadas — mudanças no estilo de vida, controle glicêmico rigoroso e terapias inovadoras (GLP-1, SGLT2 e estatinas) - reduzem a morbimortalidade cardiovascular. Destaca-se a importância do cuidado multidisciplinar e do tratamento individualizado, fundamentais para prevenir complicações e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes com DM2.
