Abstract

[83] El objetivo de esta presentación tiene como finalidad sugerir estrategias efectivas para la detección y prevención de prácticas editoriales depredadoras, particularmente las que realizan algunos consorcios editoriales y granjas de artículos científicos, también conocidas como paper mills. Estas pseudo editoriales operan con el objetivo de simular productividad científica a través de la publicación masiva de artículos de autoría, procedencia y evaluación cuestionable. Un fenómeno preocupante es la integración de herramientas de inteligencia artificial (IA) en estas prácticas, lo que permite la generación de manuscritos que aparentan cumplir con los estándares académicos, pero que carecen de rigurosidad metodológica y ética. El presente trabajo se orienta a identificar cómo estas organizaciones operan, las características de sus modus operandi, para así poder reconocer los mecanismos que pueden implementar los investigadores, editores, instituciones académicas y consorcios editoriales para prevenir la diseminación de contenidos fraudulentos en el ecosistema de la ciencia abierta
