Abstract

Als Dietmar Adler seine Pfarrstelle im niedersächsischen Bad Münder antrat, war er positiv überrascht: Das Städtchen hatte ein Kino. Doch leider hing an dessen Tür das Schild "Betriebsferien" - auch noch nach Monaten, denn das Lichtspielhaus war eigentlich schon seit Jahren geschlossen. Als sich dann vor Ort eine Initiative bildete, um Filme an unterschiedlichen Orten zu zeigen, war Adler natürlich mit dabei. Seitdem, seit rund 25 Jahren, präsentiert er in den Gemeinderäumen einmal im Monat die ganze Palette vom Blockbuster bis zum Arthouse-Streifen. Doch am liebsten sind ihm die Stummfilm-Klassiker, wenn sie in seiner winterdunklen Kirche über die Leinwand flackern. moderneREGIONAL sprach mit dem evangelischen Theologen und bekennenden Cineasten über expressionistische Kulissen, improvisierte Orgelbegleitung und offene Wünsche.
