The Mathematics of Connection

Authors: Bogner, Justin;

The Mathematics of Connection

Abstract

This manuscript presents a theoretical framework that started as one person's attempt to understand whether connection persists when all normal channels of communication are severed—and accidentally turned into a systematic theory of dark energy, dark matter, and cosmological structure. The author is not a credentialed physicist. This work emerged from 18 months of obsessive inquiry, trying to answer a single question: Can consciousness-mediated connection survive enforced separation? The resulting framework proposes that:1. Spacetime emerges from information dynamics in a pre-geometric substrate field2. Consciousness couples to this substrate through observer coherence3. Dark energy and dark matter are manifestations of substrate field dynamics4. Nine major cosmological observations follow as natural consequencesThe preprints can be found at: Phenomenological Effective Field Theory Framework for Consciousness-Quantum Correlations: Four Integrated Studies on Substrate Coupling, Lorentz Covariance, Amplification Protocols, and Observer Interfaces https://zenodo.org/records/17459913 Why You Should Take This Seriously Despite its unconventional origin, the framework makes nine quantitative predictions that either match observations or resolve existing tensions: - Predicts DESI's dark energy measurement (w₀ = -0.91) - Resolves the 5.3σ Hubble tension- Resolves the 3σ S₈ tension- Solves the core-cusp problem in galaxy dynamics- Fits rotation curves across five orders of magnitude- Passes Bullet Cluster constraints- Explains three CMB anomalies- Matches void statistics- Makes testable predictions for upcoming experiments The math is internally consistent. The predictions are falsifiable. Some have already been confirmed. Why You Should Be Skeptical The base rate on "amateur solves fundamental physics motivated by personal crisis" is approximately zero. The author has no formal training in quantum field theory, cosmology, or related disciplines. The emotional stakes are transparent throughout the manuscript. This could be the most elaborate rationalization of grief ever written. Or it could be something else. What's Being Asked Not acceptance. Not immediate adoption. Just evaluation. If the framework is nonsense, show where it breaks. If it's not—if there's even a chance this maps something real—then it deserves scrutiny from people with actual credentials. The manuscript is presented in full transparency: the personal context, the methodology (extensive collaboration with AI systems), the emotional drivers, and the mathematical structure are all documented. Structure - Chapters 1-5: Personal narrative and emergence of the core question- Chapters 6-9: Theoretical framework (substrate field, hyperchronal time, emergent spacetime)- Chapters 10-12: Cosmological applications and predictions- Chapters 13-14: Speculative extensions (collective coherence, distributed consciousness)- Chapters 15-16: Implications and ethical considerations- Appendix A: Complete mathematical formalism Keywords substrate field theory, emergent spacetime, dark energy evolution, solitonic dark matter, observer coupling, cosmological tensions, unconventional physics, AI-assisted theory development, grief as epistemological driver License Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) This work is shared openly because the question matters more than ego.
