Agri Valley floristic-vegetation survey 2022

Abstract

This dataset contains floristic and vegetation data collected by ISPRA in 2022 across the Agri Valley (Basilicata, Southern Italy), as part of resurvey habitat monitoring activities. The study area represents a complex ecological mosaic shaped by geomorphology, land use, and local management practices, and includes both zonal forest formations and azonal riparian and aquatic habitats, as well as a rich variety of semi-natural grasslands and transitional shrublands. Sampling was carried out using the Vegapp Android application (Schmidtlein, S. and Chitin Software (2024): Vegapp. v.3. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=edu.kit.ifgg.vegapp, doi:10.6084/m9.figshare.27771642.v1), following standard phytosociological methods within GPS-georeferenced plots. The dataset provides detailed information on locality, species occurrence, and cover values for all vascular plants recorded during the 2022 field campaign. The dataset also includes Ellenberg indicator values, as described by Tichý et al. (2023) (available at https://doi.org/10.1111/jvs.13168 and https://files.ibot.cas.cz/cevs/downloads/floraveg/Indicator_values_Tichy_et_al%202022-11-29.xlsx, accessed on 2024/08/08). The taxonomic, nomenclatural follows the nomeclature of floraveg.eu (Chytrý M., Řezníčková M., Novotný P., Holubová D., Preislerová Z., Attorre F., Biurrun I., Blažek P., Bonari G., Borovyk D., Čeplová N., Danihelka J., Davydov D., Dřevojan P., Fahs N., Guarino R., Güler B., Hennekens S.M., Hrivnák R., Kalníková V., Kalusová V., Kebert T., Knollová I., Knotková K., Koljanin D., Kuzemko A., Loidi J., Lososová Z., Marcenò C., Midolo G., Milanović D., Mucina L., Novák P., von Raab-Straube E., Reczyńska K., Schaminée J.H.J., Štěpánková P., Świerkosz K., Těšitel J., Těšitelová T., Tichý L., Vynokurov D., Willner S. & Axmanová I.
