A strong connection between research and standardization is essential to support the market uptake of innovation. However, these two domains are often too far apart. This interactive workshop, organized within the framework of the BeBOP project, aimed to bridge that gap. The first session featured keynote speeches that emphasized the importance of standards in scaling up sustainable fuels, as well as the role of circular economy principles in infrastructure design and environmental management. Upcoming developments in the standardization landscape were also explored. The event continued with a poster session, where PhD students presented their research on topics including biofuels, e-fuels, circular economy, and environmental management. Technical experts had the chance to engage directly with researchers and gain insights into the latest advancements in the field.
