Abstract

This is **Volume 13** of the comprehensive *Buddhist Classics AI Translation Series*, featuring **English translations of Northern Buddhist (Mahāyāna) texts**. Southern Buddhist (Theravāda) materials will be published separately in Volume 14. --- ## Scope and Structure This volume compiles English translations from the previous 12 volumes, organized into three major sections: ### **Part I: Canonical Collections** **1. Chinese Buddhist Canon (汉传大藏经)**- Complete modern English translations of classical Chinese Tripiṭaka- Covers *Taishō Tripiṭaka* (大正藏), *Jiaxing Canon* (嘉兴藏), and *Wan Xuzang* (卍续藏)- Includes Āgamas, Mahāyāna Sūtras, Vinaya, and Abhidharma texts- Timespan: 1st–20th century CE **2. Tibetan Buddhist Canon**- **Kangyur (甘珠尔)**: 108 volumes of translated words of the Buddha - Vinaya, Prajñāpāramitā, Ratnakūṭa, Avataṃsaka, and Tantra sections - Based on Degé edition- **Tengyur (丹珠尔)**: 213 volumes of Indian Buddhist commentaries and treatises - Works by Nāgārjuna, Asaṅga, Vasubandhu, Dharmakīrti, and other masters - Logic (Pramāṇa), Abhidharma, Madhyamaka, and Yogācāra texts --- ### **Part II: Tradition-Specific Collections** **1. Nyingma Tradition (宁玛派)**- ***100,000 Tantras of the Nyingma*** (*rNying ma rgyud 'bum*) - 47-volume collection and Degé edition - Mahāyoga, Anuyoga, and Atiyoga (Dzogchen) tantras- ***Karma Nyingma Collection*** (*Kar ma bka' ma*) - 133 volumes of Karma Kagyu lineage texts - Includes teachings on Mahāmudrā and Dzogchen **2.
